About the job
In this role, you will manage one of Google’s contract manufacturing partners that support critical products and services supporting our server and rack manufacturing supply chain. You’ll drive the relationship, performance expectations, cost discussions, and all OPEX and CAPEX purchases. You will be expected to lead and add value to large cross-functional projects, as well as understand and resolve complex supply chain issues and risks. Also, you'll be a key part of an end-to-end technical supply chain team that drives continuous improvement and ensures operational excellence in support of Google's rapid growth.
Additionally, you will contribute to the development of our global manufacturing strategies with a data driven approach to cost management. While partnering across the entire team responsible for all of our global contract manufacturing partners, you will develop dashboards and summarize cost drivers and spend projections across our global manufacturing footprint. You’ll drive analysis and provide and land recommendations for cost reductions across our manufacturing operations.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
